Introducing the Campaign Advocate Network, a group of dedicated ambassadors committed to advancing UCF’s transformative campaign

By Gabby Smith

The University of Central Florida is proud to announce the creation of the Campaign Advocate Network, a group of dedicated ambassadors committed to advancing UCF’s transformative campaign, Go For Launch. This initiative represents a bold step forward, aimed at reshaping UCF and enriching the lives of students, faculty and staff for years to come.

The members of the Campaign Advocate Network have raised their hands to serve as connectors, champions and advisors for the campaign. Their diverse experiences, insights and leadership will help ensure the campaign maximizes its impact. The network is led by co-chairs Joe MacLellan ’04 and Rhett Rosen ’05, whose leadership and commitment will help guide this effort and inspire engagement across the community.

The purpose of the Campaign Advocate Network is to harness the unique perspectives and influence of its members. They will help expand the campaign’s reach beyond Central Florida by connecting with donors, businesses, alumni and community leaders in Knight Nation from coast to coast. Members also provide expert insight into the importance and impact of the campaign, and they share testimonials and case studies to bring a human element to the campaign, showing how philanthropic support drives real-world progress in specific pillars, colleges and units.

We celebrate the inaugural members of the Campaign Advocate Network for stepping forward to help guide this historic effort. In addition to co-chairs Joe MacLellan and Rhett Rosen, members include Tandreia Bellamy ’98MSAfshin Dehghan ’14MS ’16PhDJoseph DiNapoliCharlie Lousignont ’81Lourdes McAgy ’99Mason Moore ’97Davia Moss ’93Wilfredo Ortiz ’17Dana Patton ’92Benjamin Patz ’85MSEEHeather Pigman ’94, Tom Riordan ’78 ’79MSEE, Anne Smallwood, and Dr. Yun Wang.

UCF announced on Feb. 21, the public launch of Go For Launch: The Campaign for UCF’s Next Mission, a bold $3.5 billion comprehensive campaign designed to accelerate discovery, expand opportunity and position UCF to lead Florida and the nation into the next era of impact.

Spanning multiple years, Go For Launch is the most ambitious revenue-generating effort in UCF’s history and recognizes the full ecosystem of support that powers growth, from philanthropy and transformational donor commitments to corporate partnerships, research commercialization, licensing and revenue-generating ventures. It reflects the belief in a future fueled by partnerships, working side by side with industry, government and donors.
Building on decades of momentum, the campaign reflects a clear-eyed understanding of what it will take for a modern, metropolitan research university to deliver at the scale the future demands.

The Campaign Advocate Network’s dedication as ambassadors will be instrumental in creating a lasting impact on UCF and the community it serves.
